Ping boot disk

Postby polyglot0727 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 3:19 am

I have a system that I want to restore a vista image on. It is a custom build, a little older, but not too old. I successfully restored the image prior to wiping the disk, but am now unable to boot from the ping boot disk. Other imaging software will boot, so it's not a boot order issue in bios/cmos. Can anyone help with the issue here? The boot hangs up at the boot cd prompt. It will also sometimes bypass the cd and boot to the current win98 image. I have recently wiped the system again, but still will not successfully boot from the cd. I have successfully restored a win98 image with Acronis, but PING is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Based off your thread it sounds like the same problem. I have no clue how to resolve it. Maybe you can Google it and see what you come up with.
